Introduction

Standing at the northwest corner of Harbour City is the Main Gate, an imposing structure of stone brickwork with a stout iron portcullis. It is the principal method for entering and exiting Harbour City. A near constant flow of horses, mules, and oxen draw carts into and out of Harbour City's docks.

At night, the gate is closed, but during the day it stands open, guarded by four guards, a guard captain, and four to six archers on the battlements.
